The gist of it was that:
1. Yes, they feel they've gotten enough feedback from us,
2. They are working on addressing how DoT's break fear, though no specifics were given and no promises made.
There might have been something else in there, but that's what stuck in my mind anyway. If no one is able to repost that, maybe you could be so kind as to repost and set the record straight for us, Mr. Dan?
Or do you prefer Mr. Danger? :-)"
Uh... Dan is fine
Sadly, while I usually write my posts in notepad then paste it in, I don't have a copy of my reply to NameAlreadyTaken's post anywhere I can find. You have the basic gist of it: Feedback received, changes being tested, in particular we're addressing the likelihood of pre-existing DOTs breaking Fear.
A side comment that I made was that feedback is appreciated and read even if there is no dev response. We generally read more of the forums than we write.
There were also a number of follow-on questions which I had not had a chance to research and answer, mostly regarding resist rates. Short answer is a question in return: What are the situations where you feel like resist rates are higher? Are you fighting monsters that are higher level than you? What level are you? Are you fighting Normals? Signatures? Elites? Are you fighting against Monster Players?
I'll be checking back on the thread/forum for answers, and will try to find some time in to look into this, but I can't promise a reply.

Ignorance is bliss or ignorance is no excuse? I'll let you make your own mind up but I know which one I would go with ;)

It seems that Dan posted a comment a few days ago but Turbine's forum was rolled back due to some errors i don't know.Fortunately he kindly replied to the thread you quoted , yesterday mentioning about his former post booted by unexpected rollback. What hits me ; it seems that class Devs have no idea on some critical issues we're entroubled deeply such as resist , ignorance or even failure to work issues concerning mostly traps , roots and fear effects and duration of fear , unexpected broken encounters of feared mobs and their brought friends in totally unexpected situations , etc etc..See the thread i posted as feedback ..
They say they read the forums quite often then we imagine, but don't have time to post comments or prefer not to post for some other reasons which i won't argue with.Since when you havent seen a class dev's comment on Hunter forums? They don't have to reply our questions neither comment ,but it'd be so kind to hear their voices here as well.Hope they're reading our forums too especially Class Topics. This is so sad that i feel like i'm a second level customer here and forced to check Turbine forums everyday if there is anything new and i have to buy an account there .I had been a early beta tester ( beta 1.0) on Turbine servers for months and was a Extra Crispy Kinship member which was led by a Dev those days.I know this is also due to the contract between CM and Turbine. *sigh*
Well at last , it's nice to read that they're aware of certain things and working to fix, hope they try their best to make a comphrehensive look through on our class and Guardians, champs as well.I'm looking forward to hear what we will face with book 12? Hope more fun is coming on our way.

Basically what annoys me the most is when I fear a mob and the mob is effectively feared but it starts running directly to me, or changing randomly its direction and finishing running to me still feared.
All this finishes with the feared mob sometimes closer to me than before fearing it.
It seems not logical that anything that's feared starts running in the direction of who fears it.
And, just for exact feedback as Dan asks for, let him know that yesterday I was killing trolls for their deed in MM. They are elite 45 and around. Well, they hardly got trapped in any of my traps. They broke most of it.
Furthermore, fear is also easily broken (with not DOTs on mob), not lasting for the 15 seconds that's supposed to. I've come to guess that Quick Shot, though not being a DOT, works as that, breaking fear.

Fear is working exactly as it should as of book 12. 15s fear that will CERTAINLY break on ANY damage. So yea, a DoT or a sneeze in their direction will break fear.

the mob stays near you. I think thats a good thing, I dont want it to work different really. if he runs away, he could draw more aggro on you. and anything else - running away into other mobs but NOT drawing aggro - would be more annoying, in my view

Who gives a cr*p about fear and DOT ? All fear skills are totally broken, there aren't any sane hunters left that use them. Only few suicidal minstrels. Focus on the other changes (upcoming nerfs) and forget about fear skills.

It's is certianly usless in areas with large mobs where you dont want to pull anything over the number say.. 1 when soloing. But in PvMp, it can disable a creep for 15s, stop one chasing you ect.
