I wonder what range critical valure you can reach with a lvl 50 hunter. I have something like 20% (just hit lvl 50 yesterday) without any attempt to max it.

* Whats you value?
* Whats the meening of the range crit chance written in the character sheet? Lots of our skills give +1% crit only to auto-attack. The value written shows what exactly?

21.5% ranged critical chance

It does pretty much exactly what it says. 20ish percent chance your shot is a critical hit. As hunter I want this because damage is everything and crits = higher damage. I'd say that around 20% to 22% is an average crit rate and anything beyond that is high.

The highest I've seen is 26%. But that was a hunter worth nothing in any other area.

+1% on ranged autoattack crits is just any hit without using a skill when using a bow. Most bows have also +% bonus on ranged critical so it can be confusing. However, a bonus to ranged critical can be seen on the character sheet and a bonus to autoattack critical hit can't be seen on it. It's just what you have on the sheet + that %.

Also dagger for example also has a 1% added critical chance on it's autoattack, but it's a dagger so only counts for melee I think.

Currently have 22.6% ranged crit chance. Used to have it as high as 25% but like the above poster says that probably doesn't make for a very well rounded Hunter.

With my 22.6% now I also have 388 agility, over 3300 morale and over 2300 power. I still have some improvements to do to that will eventually give me about 3700 morale and 2500 power at only the loss of 15 agility.

Add to that the buffs of a Captain and a Minstrel and I'll be looking at a ranged crit chance of about 25.6% and morale close to 5000 *rubs hands together at the thought* :)

Think mines at about 18%. Used to have bracelets each giving 1% ranged crit chance, but swapped them for two polished beryl bracelets (for a total of 3 in combat power regen).

20% is a good value to aim for imo, as its easily reachable without gimping other stats. The only reason I'm not there is because my current armour set (fine galadhrim) has very little agility. When I upgrade to exquisite westernesse it'll get to around 20% hopefully.

Would you mind posting your gear cause I dont see how this is at all possible.
I have 3,2k morale and 2,3k power, my agi is 465. Were do you get those major morale and power boosts from? Light armour :P?

There might be a way to have morale above 3700 but this is a high cost in agility.
I have 3704 morale with 2400 power and 1100 armor but only 345 agility. This is the build for ettermoors with combination of high might. Although i have figure out ways to increace agility i dont think there is possible way atm to have 400+ agility and 3700+ morale.
You need to choose beetween the 2 or find the middle line bettween them.

My thoughts is that vitality is more importan for hunter, not agility, as i tested both builds, i found my self more usefull and competive with high morale than high agility.

your stats are even bette, if your numbers are correct!? you say you have 465 agi, which is ~80 more than what dirtball has (and moral and power are similar; 3,2 vs 3,3 and both 2,5 power).

Well at level 46 my range critical is 18.3%, I have loads of stuff waiting for my level to wear which should increase this.

My agi is 366, my vitality is 250, my will is 177, might 187 it all seems a bit uneven compared to my Captain but hopefully when I start raiding it will sort itself out.

I don't PvP at all, so having etched beryl jewelry is of no concern to me. I prefer high Fate for long fights with mobs, decent morale and currently I'm trying high critical % for constant Focus regeneration.

High critical % for simply more damage won't work. You must have some other use for it, because our damage mitigation simply sucks. A slower fight for whatever reasons will deplete even someone with 3700 morale, and if you try to make it faster by increasing your dps by ignoring in combat regeneration, you might end up dead again...

Anyway, I have 24% critical, with 2 earrings, Ornate bow, 2 traits iirc, and aprox 415 agility, but I don't play my hunter much any more.
