View Full Version : So now, how should the LEGENDARY traits be changed?

Theres been alot of tlk about legendary traits recently, and its obvious they are lacking compared to lets say, a LM March of the Ents; sword anad staff ect.
So, in your opinion, how do u feel turbine should amend these traits? realisticaly
BA- fears enemy for 15 secsc, if enemy is damaged then fear breaks after 5 seconds.
Same for pvmp
RoT-Roots mob for 30 secs, if mob attacked then root breaks after 5 secs.
Same for pvmp
On the move- Either works in combat, or
Works as before, but with 2 min cooldown, so your hunter
can actually stay on the move and keep going when soloing. (remember, all this is doing is speeding up what a rest does by abit)
BotR- Also restores some morale every 5 successfull ranged attacks

Bow of the righteous should regenerate power on each successful ranged attack, not just special skills.

First of all they should fix the bug that previously put DOT does not breake fear or traps.
# BA should not bring adds when feared mob is attacked within fear period near other mobs but only after fear is expired without attack.
They should work on pathing problems , i hate mobs turning around me all the time not getting away and some run so far away that i end up wtih mobs on exploit mode.
Fear should work like dread so diminishing a mob's damage mitigation and healing capacity or reduce its resistances for a short time.
# RoT - They should tweak this skill's precision cause mob's have enhanced resistance since last patch.Give the skill definition as can not be evaded/missed/blocked and reduce the duration to 15 secs.If it crits make wounding effect like barbed arrow. ( DoT bug should be fixed for this.)
# Press onward - If this is intended to be out of combat ;
*Reduce cooldown to 5 min at least.
*Remove 5 sec induction and make it insta useable.
- If you ll change the skill as in combat ;
* This should not be overpowered so no no insta 3000 morale/power gain.And i dont want it to be a one hour cooldown skill neither , why should i equip a leg trait that i'd only use with such a long cooldown? Unless i'm a gold/shard farmer EM , boss enthusiast and imagine a Man hunter with that leg trait , so it's a no no !
However they can make it a Heal over Time in combat usable skill lets say :
Insta ( no induction ) 500 heals + 250 heal in every 2 secs for 20 secs = 3000 morale maybe even less but something more than 2000 morale over time with 10 min cooldown at least.( but for pvmp they should add the definiton heal is broken with stun ,Anti - whine potion against wargs.)
# Bow of the rightheous - Currently it gives 13 - 19 power back with each succesfull skill attack which is decent enough imo but if Devs continue to ignore press onward trait then as many said add some heal to this skill, lets say demoralizes the target with each skill critical hit.If they give us a in combat heal love with press onward then keep the botr as it is , fine.

we need a leg trait to allow us to lay traps in combat, since our main role is not dps some CC would be helpfull

This 'stealth' change didn't just affect fear, because it also affects mobs who run away or move for other reasons.

and it also limits the use of this skill in crowded areas like nan gurth or sarnur , cause once the feared mob has reached a mob and is likely to be nearby at the moment fear expires you have nothing to do.
- If you call the mob back shooting it within fear period the add joins.
- If you let the fear expire the add joins.
So all option left in your hands is to shoot the feared mob before reaching a nearby mobs agro range thus limiting the skills usefullness considerably.Imagine at sarnur this limits the range even to 20 meter or even less if you are in the middle of a spawn area.
You fear your certainly doomed if you dont call back the mob within 5 secs or the mob spins around you and your avoiding Aoe skills.
Hence in a game like lotro which has many AI crowded areas that 15 secs is nonsense cause the more time you let the fear expire you have a certain increased chance to face new add , cause skill ignores if you attacked the feared mob(roaming around another AI ) within fear period or you let it expire
This is the number 2 bug in my list after DOT breaking fear and traps considering hunter combat play.

we need a new legendary called
"age of the taxi" where we get a buff on not using travel rations while we make money transporting peoplea round eriador.

All of our legendary skills should be permanently removed and given to monster players or lore masters. At least then when they nerf them again it wont effect us.

oh and u cant compare our legendary traits to LM's the most OP class in the game ;)
