It seems strange that a company like Codemasters would not wait until this version was completly developed rather than release a non-compatible Live version and then release a new version down the track.
I preordered the original version and picked it up on release date, now i am told that in order to play LIVE I need to spend another $100 and get basically the same game with Live access. Even if this part of the game wasn't developed, why couldn't an update feature be built in and downloaded (Not unlike Splinter Cell etc). I feel as though I have been completly ripped off for being a loyal customer to Codemasters.
Perhaps a trade-in/trade-up option could have been made available, IE send in your game and $30 and get a copy of the new version.
At least when Microsoft dropped the price of Xbox they offered a loyalty pack...
