At different LOTRO sites in the internet the amount of damage-bonus a special attack skill vary dramatically.
For example for "Merciful rejoinder" I can find Main Hand + 4 up to +28 damage
Especially on the lotro.wiki.com page all the bonus seem to be very low (I mean for a lvl 24 skill, which requires additionally a parry, like merciful rejoiner a +4 bonus means nothing, not even 10%).
Why this differences as most of the pages have "in-game" pictures showing the description of a certain skill?

Your skills grow when you level up. So first time you get the skill it can have a bonus of +4 and at level 50 for example have a +28.

Now as you are a hunter you are more proficient with ranged then melee, our melee attacks can finish of a mob that reached you after you pumped it full with arrows. Most of the mobs even die before they even get in range to melee.
