Hunter 2handed

Hey there everyone in middle earth.. hope you have a nice time in the game :D.. I got one noob question... Can a hunter use a 2handed sword or axe or something.. or is it only 1handed weapons hunter can use?..

As far as I know we hunters can only use one handed melee weapons. At a certain level, I forgot which it was but I thought level 20, you can equip a second one handed melee weapon. To add to this, we hunters also seem to be unable to use a shield, which makes sense since we prefere to keep at range and use our bow/crossbow. :D

I'd love to be able to equip a shield, it would help us not taking so much of a beating when we inevitably take aggro with our damage output.

Nope we cannot use 2handers, I am how ever a firm beliver of the fact that hunter should be able to Wield 2hand swords, and mabye even spear+shield

cant use 2 handers however using a spear can give you the illusion of using a 2 hander (it sits on your back rather than at the side like normal 1 handers) However spears suck :P I like to use 1 handed axes myself as they look really cool.

Really? My lvl25 hunter has 153 melee efficiency vs 136 ranged. Well I have two very nice swords.

i can either have melee efficiency of 190 with ranged of 164 or ranged 194 melee 160 odd, i equip gondorian swords for the +16 agi each and have 224 agility when soloing and using bow, this is at lvl 35. i have primarily up close and personal shoot/melee, agility and vitality gear swops on me at all times
