Did not see this question anywhere ,so excuse me if its been done before,but what in fact are the benifits of using a bow over a crosswbow?

Judging by real life knowledge, the bow would probably have a faster attack speed, while the crossbow would have more 'oomph'.

Of course, the reason I'll never switch to crossbows is because they don't fit in with my own personal feel of Middle-earth. I'd rather be left there with a much lower damage bow than use something like that. Same reason my captain will NEVER wear plate armour :P
