When can a raid party be used?

Yesterday we did the "retake weathertop" quest. We was 6 players
3xLM(lvl22-24) + 2xHNT(Lvl24/25) and a lvl19 Champion.

We all got wipet but one player :)
The only reason that we made it was because of a bugged boss, you know where the boss just stands there with "???" over his head.
Then our last standing LM could go near him to "wake him up", zap him with lightning and then retreat so he went back to the "???" sleeping state.
... wait for recharge of morale and some power and then repeat the process.

It was a heavy work for our LM because he made like 100-120 dmg for each attack, and he was "solo'ing" the troll from the time where it had around 10.000 morale left :/

So I was thinking, is it possible to create a raid party, so more players can join on the fight?.
What is the "criteria" to be fullfilled to be able to make a raid party?

Yes.

The fellowship leade will right click on his own name and then go into raid status. That way other fellowships cand group as a raid party.

It is covered in the manual and is very straight forward.

raid parties dont work in quest instanzes

for ur weathertop instanz... u just had a unlucky combo. u should always take a minstrel with u
Minstrel is the key to everything. We (3 hunters, 2 minstrel, 1 burglar) and we can do every instanz(till now except "raid instanzes like helegrod"). (also did Fornost with this group earlier)

I compleatly agree, that the fellowship setup is vital, but sometimes it is not possible to build the optimal fellowship.

The fellowship I was in on the "retake weathertop" quest, was fixed on 4 of the 6 spots, because we was 4 kinship mates that neede to do the quest.
We made a OOC and invited the first two playest to pm us.

btw.... there was NO guardian or mistrel that pm'ed us for this quest, so basicly I think it can be a little hard to set up the optimal felloship everytime :)

i know that its hard sometimes to find the best group setup. but sometimes its better to reschedule the instance instead of dying over and over
