Any chance of some of the old games turning up in a pack on the GBA? Kinda like Sega are doing with it's old classics.

A mate and I were hoping to see some of the really old Codies games come as special freebies with their new releases. Maybe something that won't appeal to the younger generation of gamers (damn kids with their music), but it certainly would please some of us. Especially someone like myself who sold his C64 many years ago and currently has no room to dedicate to his Amiga.
EDIT: Of course, before anyone takes me too seriously, I should add that this is just a nostalgic whim. When we're talking games of that era I'm sure someone could (and has) program simple, modern clones.

Yeah the Sega compilation with After Burner, Outrun etc is great. As far as I'm aware there's no plans for a similar Codemasters pack just yet but there's always a possibility I suppose. Maybe something similar to the Game & Watch Gallery idea would be good with "Classic" versions with original sound etc, and new versions with revamped graphics. At the end of the day you've got to try and please both the retro gaming fans and the younger gamers who might not remember.

I've got a Flash linker cartridge for my GBA and can emulate (amongst others) spectrum games. I can get hundreds of games on the cart, including Dizzy, Grand Prix Simulator.

Hehe....would be cool eh. So if this wish came true then which Codies games would people most like to be included?
Lets say between 4 and 8 games...

Yes please! I'd like to play some of their older games from the ZX Spectrum once more, like 3D Starfighter, Advanced Pinball Simulator, Grand Prix Simulator 2, Fast Food, Power Boat Simulator, Sky High Stuntman, Wacky Darts, Super Hero, Kwik Snax, Street Gang Football Fruit Machine Simulator...

Isn't Cannon Fodder one of Codies these days? Or at the least one of it's programmers at Codies?

We did already release a GBC version of Cannon Fodder, it was probably as close to the Amiga vesion as it could have got given the lack of mouse control and smaller screen size. Doing a GBA port would be fair enough, but I don't think it could be sufficiently better than the GBC version, without adding to the features from the original.
You could probaby pick a copy up if you search around on ebay etc. Here's the site anyway:
